About

The things we pass without noticing.

I am interested in the familiar becoming unfamiliar simply because we have taken the time to look at it.

Skin, stone, moss, water, light. The small hairs on an arm. The texture of a tree's bark. The way sunlight settles against someone's shoulder.

My photography is an attempt to linger with those things for a moment longer than we normally do. Portraits and landscapes are different subjects, but I approach both with the same curiosity: what happens when we actually pay attention?
